Leather and Suede

Suede

• Cleaning:
  Brush regularly with a soft suede brush in the direction of the nap to remove dirt and restore texture; use a pencil eraser or suede eraser for scuffs and small stains.
  For light marks, dilute a suede cleaner (like eco-friendly options) heavily in warm water and dab gently; avoid water immersion.
  Spot clean spills immediately by blotting (do not rub); for wet suede, air dry naturally then brush to revive nap. Dry clean professionally only if necessary, using green earth methods.
  
• Storage:
  Store in a cool, ventilated, dark space away from sunlight, heat, or damp; use dust bags or breathable cloth covers (never plastic) to allow breathing and prevent crushing.
  Hang on broad hangers; for boots, use trees to maintain shape.
  
• Maintenance:
  Apply suede protector spray monthly (from a distance, test first) for water/dirt resistance; brush after wear to remove dust.
  

Leather

• Cleaning:
  Wipe marks with a neutral microfiber cloth; for dirt or mud, brush off when dry and clean with diluted leather cleaner.
  Condition every 1-2 months with a leather balm (test first); avoid fabric cleaners or home remedies.
  If wet, air dry naturally away from heat; professional cleaning for deep stains to restore oils without damage.
  
• Storage:
  Keep in dust bags or boxes in a cool, dry area; avoid plastic bags, direct sunlight, or humid spots to prevent drying/cracking.
  For bags/boots, stuff with paper to hold shape; use boot trees for footwear.
  
• Maintenance:
  Apply leather conditioner regularly; air out after use and avoid abrasive rubbing against other surfaces.
